Gucci Bowl 2010

The annual high school “Gucci Bowl” kicked off Thursday, August 26, with Churchill playing Clark at Heroes Stadium.  The football teams, bands, dancers and cheerleaders showed off the results of their hard work over the summer.   Churchill won the football game for the first time in several years.  My son is a senior on the Churchill football team this year so my pictures are mostly of the 1,000+ Churchill students involved in the games.

  1. Your site is quite interesting…love your photography and your layout. I just wish you had it connected to a Facebook account or Twitter. Great way to drive traffic and keep your subscribers up to date.

  2. They still call that game the “Gucci Bowl”??? Those two schools are about as luxurious as a 1983 Mercedes these days, lol…Nice blog, though.

    • The school tried to get rid of the Gucci Bowl name a few years ago but people loudly protested. Many of the current Churchill parents are alums and they try to keep the traditions going. It probably helps that the name is catchy and easy to say. Thanks for the comment.
