Rockbox Theater (Fredericksburg, Texas)

The Rockbox Theater’s musical variety show in Fredericksburg offers entertainment for all ages.  I took in a show last Friday night with my parents and their friends.  We all really enjoyed the show.  The Rockbox cast – four singers and a band – perform every weekend year-round in their theater near Main Street.  We were fortunate to see Tom Braxton, a saxophone player from Dallas, playing as a guest artist.  I enjoyed Braxton’s playing and his audience participation activities.  The songs by the Rockbox cast change but usually include popular songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s.  Our show included songs by Texans, Bette Midler, Stevie Wonder, a very funny song called Doehemian Rhapsody and a patriotic song honoring military persons.
