I went to see “High Hair & Jalapenos” at the Josephine Theater Saturday night mainly to see our church music director Matt Goodson performing. My husband, our daughter, her friend and I enjoyed the hilarious show immensely.
The production consists of 26 musical skits that poke fun at Texas institutions including hair, Wurstfest, mechanical bulls, mariachi singers, Governor Perry and bilingual-ness. Drinks and snacks are served and allowed in the theater. Five people – two females and three males – make up the talented cast.
After the show we went to Good Time Charlie’s restaurant for a late-night snack. The teenagers in our party scarfed down platters piled high with chicken fried steak and sides.
