Miraflores Pedestrian Bridge

In a previous post I wrote about the City of San Antonio’s efforts to restore Miraflores Park at 1184 E. Hildebrand.  Today I took pictures of the pedestrian bridge the City built to span the San Antonio River between Brackenridge Park and Miraflores.

The bridge is in Phase I of the City’s Master Plan for Miraflores Park.  The bridge is designed so that visitors can park at Brackenridge Park and walk across the bridge to enjoy Miraflores Park.  As you can see the bridge is not open to traffic yet.  The bridge appears to have weathered the heavy rain yesterday without any damage.
